Eczema is a common skin condition frequently described as an itchy rash/patch. Scratching often leads to redness, swelling, cracking, crusting ad scaling skin.  Constant scratching may cause skin damage and infections. Ten to twenty percent of children and one to three percent of adults develop atopic dermatitis, making it the most common type of eczema.
